I am a teacher and a singer losing my voice from talking all day at work. suggestions on how to save it?

I am an elementary school teacher so I have to talk most of the day, 5 days a week. On weekends, I sing professionally and have been feeling hoarse and unable to sing full out because of all the straining I do unintentionally during the week. Any suggestions on how to prevent losing my voice at work and still be heard in my classroom of 31 students?

How do I become a better singer on my own? You know, by myself, at home. If you did this, tell me every detail. How’d it go?Was it easy? Difficult? Embarrassing? Anything. Also, I don’t want the word “practice” to be the only word in your answer please. Sure you can use it of course. I know I have to practice. Any tips though?

does anyone know how to retime a singer inspiration 4205 sewing machine?

The needle wont pick up the bobbin thread, I’ve tried everything else and am sure it needs to be retimed. I can’t take it in to get fixed, the nearest service center is 800 miles away and I cant afford the shipping either, so I need to find out how to retime it myself. I am pretty new to sewing so please explain in detail. Thank you!

How do you adjust tension on Singer Model 301A (1958)?

The bobbin thread tends to be very loose, skips, etc. Top thread is okay. Sometimes it sews fine; adjusting has become a frequent necessity and I’m lost. And what is the silver adjuster knob at the top left of the machine?
