Is there anything I should know or do? Is it better to settle before going to trial even though a trial date has been set? Or should I just try to defend myself to the judge? If I settle out side of court do I still have to pay the lawyer fees the landlord is asking for or just passed due rents and damages?

I am having a hard time finding a lawyer, and I have to have a response in to the court by THIS Tues. How do I type one up that the court will accept? It can’t go through like it is– HELP!!!

I have been off work for almost two months and have received only three checks. I should get them every week. When I call to check status on just about anything, Im told I will get a call back. Im losing everthing I have. I hired the lawyer to prevent this exact thing from happening. What can I do?

I have a former friend that filed a temporary restraining order against me making outrageous claims of seeing me in my car at her house stalking her and setting her up for online services with her email account. All of this is made up and couldn’t be any further from the truth. I live in NYC and she lives in CT about 70something miles away. I haven’t owned a car in years nor even been in the town she lives in. Meanwhile, she’s been using my work email account to set me up for online services and has been harrassing me through the mail. I went to the police and they’ve seen the mail from her harrassing me and the emails she anonomoulsy sent. I don’t know her email or phone number although she claims I have been harrassing her through that, as well. Would anyone know if it is worth getting a lawyer considering the proof that I have? Or should I be able to represent myself well with my evidence alone?

I am interested in requesting legal advice from a lawyer because I am guilty of a crime and think I might have a case to get out of it. They say they will answer a letter or email free of charge, so I want to ask them if I have a chance at getting out of this mess. But I would have to admit to them that I am guilty right? Would they tell? Or are these things kept confidential?

guilty?Consider Phil Spector,O J Simpson,just because they did not get convicted,doesn’t mean they are innocent.How can a lawyer knowingly help scum like that.These aren’t the only ones there are probably thousands that are set free & their lawyers know they are guilty but they defend them anyway.Reckon there will be any lawyers in heaven?

If you are charged with child molestation and you are a juvenile can you get a lawyer who defends adult sex crimes to defend the juvenile?

I took a lawyer with me to an IEP meeting. The school asked my lawyer to leave, stating that they would not proceed with him there. When I told them that he was not there to engage in a legal debate, but rather to observe, they stated that they were ending the meeting. Can they do that?
