How do I change my maximum download speed when downloading from a website on internet explorer?

When I download a large file (even as small as 60 megabytes) my internet usually slows down for a couple of days and it doesn’t finish the download. It takes minutes to load a single page, but I have high speed satellite internet. My understanding is that I can change my max. download speed so that my internet doesn’t use it’s full bandwidth on a download. But how do I do this using internet explorer?

This is a stupid question, I know, but how do I get the internet explorer address bar to show?

I had to switch computers at work and this one does not have the address bar up top when I open explorer. I have the google and yahoo bars, but that is it! So, I can’t see the web addresses when I visit. I am SURE someone knows how to fix this. By the way, I am running Windows XP and I am not sure which version of IE, but it is up to date.

I already went to view>toolbars>address bar and it is checked.
STILL NOT WORKING!! Any other advice? I appreciate any help.

Why does windows internet Explorer stop responding?

When I visit the favoriates and history folder, even before clicking on any link, the explorer will stop responding.
What is the problem?
By the way, I just updated the explorer to 8. And I stopped some start up selections, because there are too many processes going on.

My friend has asked for help with internet explorer?

My friends microsoft laptop is having a few problems. It is on the internet wirelessly and running under vista. She can use messenger but she can’t load webpages it just says this webpage couldn’t be displayed. It’s on vista and i have had a look around and reset the settings on internet explorer but with no luck. We have tried on her wireless network and mine and the laptop can get on both but wont load pages. Any ideas?

I want to remove internet explorer 8 that I have loaded and replace with Internet Explorer 7 ?

I recently downloaded this updated internet explorer and seem to have had nothing but problems since. When I tried to replace with version 7 I am told to remove version 8 - please help I cant work out what I need to remove as various files come up - what do I need to delete and how do I then get on internet to reload older version - please excuse ignorance not that brill with technical things!!!!

Why does internet explorer 7 keep crashing when I am playing a game?

I am unable to keep the Yahoo toolbar from appearing each time I start Internet Explorer. How to do?

I recently upgraded Yahoo toolbar based on an email I received from Yahoo with a link for the downloadable file. The reason this was needed, the email said, was because Microsoft was going to release a new version of Explorer that would have compatability problems with Yahoo mail. Now, I can’t get rid of the toolbar.
