Did Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho deserve to die for being a Catholic bishop in Iraq?

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

Do we all deserve exactly what we get? No more, no less? My 30 year old daughter died of cancer, because nature had dictated that, having lived the way she did, whether or not she knew it ahead of time, she evidently took the risks with her life that brought her death early in a horrible long bout with breast cancer!

This bishop had to realize he was going into a nasty place in the world, a terrible place, and yet his parents, his mentors coaxed him from childhood to risk his life to tell others they needed to be saved in the Catholic church, right? Therefore he got what he deserved? Had he not gone there, perhaps this would not have happened?

I am glad he tried to help people, so did my daughter! I miss my daughter plenty! Did she deserve to die? I am sorry to say, yes! Did I want it to happen? NO, by all means NO!

Healing be unto you and yours and me and mine in
Forgive Affirmed Spirit

what do you think of this? Christians Wrong About Heaven, Says Bishop(from time magazine)?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

N.T. “Tom” Wright is one of the most formidable figures in the world of Christian thought. As Bishop of Durham, he is the fourth most senior cleric in the Church of England and a major player in the strife-riven global Anglican Communion; as a much-read theologian and Biblical scholar he has taught at Cambridge and is a hero to conservative Christians worldwide for his 2003 book The Resurrection of the Son of God, which argued forcefully for a literal interpretation of that event.

It therefore comes as a something of a shock that Wright doesn’t believe in heaven — at least, not in the way that millions of Christians understand the term. In his new book, Surprised by Hope (HarperOne), Wright quotes a children’s book by California first lady Maria Shriver called What’s Heaven, which describes it as “a beautiful place where you can sit on soft clouds and talk… read the full article at http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1710844,00.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/karen-ocamb/catholic-priest-defies-ch_b_132075.html

A priest defies his BISHOP, his boss, second only to god, to tell people to vote against prop 8, which interferes in the voting procedure AND goes against God’s hatred and condemnation of the homosexual act. How do we, as good christians respond?

Any suggestions for a good series to read?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

I like Laurel K.Hamilton, Kim Harrison, Kelly Armstrong, Dean Koontz, Raymond E.Feist, Ann Rice (sleeping beauty books), Ann Bishop and Patricia C.Wrede.

I love fantasy/sci-fi novels with a bit of romance.
Vampire and other supernaturals are a bonus! :P

Thank you.
As a note; I’ve been wanting to read the Twilight series and have read (and own) all the Harry Potter books.
Thank you for your suggestions! :)

help with wedding ruin idea one more time! thanks! bishop had good idea wanted to add it in?

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

my book is for 9-12 year olds
ok adalie is gonna discover she has some magic power.
i want her to do it and ruin her sisters wedding

which way sounds best or do you have a better idea?

way 1.) at the wedding she is forced to get all prettied up and gets unwanted male attention. she screams at the boy ugly little toad and he gets turned into what she says disruptin wedding as parents of child go berserk

way 2.) she gets yelled at by her father for misbehavin and she angrily marches off not realizing her temper tantrum is manifesting itself as little claps of thunder and lightning…that destructs chairs ect…

way 3) while making her sister a crown of flowers she discovers that the plants seem to act weird around her as if they understood her talking. when she tries to confide in sis she is ignored and gets angry. the plants decide to get revenge for her and crown tightens around sisters head thorns digging in and making her pass out….

way 4 by bishop and i thinks its real good too)
Have her be part of the ceremony, and she is nervous about it. someone gives her the old cliche advice about picturing everyone in their underwear, then when she does…………..

What is wrong with, in the Sicilian Defense chess opening and playing white, moving the king-side bishop to c4?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

I’m not really an advanced player, but I almost never see that move played at move 2, the common move being the king’s knight to f3, with alternatives being queen’s knight to c3 (closed or Grand Prix variation) or pawn to c3 (alapin variation). Why is the king’s bishop to c4 not mentioned? A possibility that occured to me is that this move does not allow the white pawn to move from d2 to d4, but then neither does the white queen’s knight to c3 which is a fairly common move at move 2. In fact, my plan for white was after moving king’s bishop to c4, I would then move my queen’s knight to c3 and really seem to take control of the d5 square. What is wrong with this plan? Thank you in advance for any help you provide me with this.

38 weeks pregnant. 70% effaced, 4 cm, baby is -1, 9 on bishop? wha?

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

6 days ago I was 3 cm and 60% effaced. Now I’m 38 weeks and 70%, 4 cm dilated, 9 on bishop scale, and the baby is -1. My due date is in 13 days. Is there any way I’ll make it til my due date? Midwife stripped membranes today too. I’ve had a few painful contractions, but far apart and nothing regular. Is there any way to predict how long this will take?

And what does the -1 mean? What number will that get to when I’m ready to push?

I’m wondering if there is a high possibility that I’ll go within 48 hrs. I’m also wondering what is the possibility that I’ll make for at least another week. Based on this info, is there any way to predict? Midwife seems to think I’ll go in the next 1-3 days?

Any thoughts?
Oh, I also lost mucus plug 4 days ago.
